Job Summary:

The Corporate Director of Finance is a pivotal leader responsible for the financial health and strategic direction of our company. This role requires a seasoned financial leader with extensive hospitality industry experience who will oversee all financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic planning and financial management while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and provide strategic recommendations and insights to the Executive Leadership Team.

Financial Operations Oversight: Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple properties. Establish and maintain effective financial controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads and regional managers. Continuously monitor and update forecasts based on changing market conditions and business needs.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making, investments, acquisitions, and operational improvements. Analyze financial performance against industry benchmarks and recommend actionable strategies to improve profitability.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and company policies. Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide training and development to enhance team capabilities and career growth.

Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with operational teams to identify areas for cost savings and revenue enhancements. Build strong relationships with hotel general managers and department heads to drive financial performance.

Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and strategies to stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and investors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance experience, with significant time in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial management best practices.

Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Experience and a strong understanding of hotel operations are a definite plus.
