Dental Assistant (DA)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) team in California. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality clinical environment. This role supports our providers in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining efficiency and compliance with California regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards
- Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies
- Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance
- Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (as required by state law)
- X-ray certification (California compliant)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
