Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A traveling Registered Nurse is needed to provide exceptional circulating care in the Operating Room with a focus on general surgery, including urology, gynecology (GYN), and orthopedic procedures. This role involves working day shifts on a 4x10 schedule, with some rotating weekend and late shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulating RN, ensuring patient safety and advocacy throughout the surgical process
- Support general surgery cases including urology and GYN, utilizing the DaVinci Xi robotic system
- Assist in orthopedic surgeries involving scopes, arthroplasty, and positioning using specialized equipment such as the Hana Table, Arthrex tower, and Beach Chair
- Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain efficient and effective patient flow in the operating room
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards, including required certifications and dress code
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an operating room setting
- Experience with general surgery procedures including urology, GYN, and orthopedic surgery
- Proficient in the use of DaVinci Xi robotic technology and orthopedic surgical equipment listed
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to adapt to varying surgical cases and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts per week
- Up to 3 Fridays or Mondays off in a 6-week rotation
- Rotate weekend call approximately every 6-7 days
