The Johnson Team at CrossCountry Mortgage is hiring a Loan Officer Assistant for our Bloomington branch.


We are seeking a full-time sales assistant for our residential mortgage team. This is a very dynamic position. No experience is required, as we have extensive training available and a detailed process in place. Today's mortgage industry is rapidly growing, and income potential is excellent. This position is a great opportunity to learn how to do mortgages the right way.


Required Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills - ability to pick up new apps and software quickly
  • Attention to detail - ability to closely follow a detailed process
  • Desire to learn a new industry
  • Sense of urgency - knowing what is important and what isn't


Basic job duties:

  • Takes incoming calls from mortgage clients and applications, and schedules time with the team leader
  • Talk with clients to complete basic application information, collect documents, and process loans through various software programs
  • Manage incoming clients to ensure proper follow up and conversion are accomplished
  • Manage client expectations and updates until a property is found and the client is under contract


This is an in-office position with some remote work flexibility. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with some schedule flexibility.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments, including travel arrangements or other company engagements
  • Answer phone calls and emails to act as a liaison between clients and staff members to improve customer retention and referral rates
  • Oversee online and print marketing efforts

Qualifications:

  • Shows ability to quickly finish very detailed work
  • Shows great interpersonal skills and excellent written communication
  • Technologically savvy; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel programs and filing systems with the ability to learn new programs quickly and troubleshoot common issues
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in office management or our industry is a plus
