The Mammography Technologist, under the supervision of\nthe Breast Imaging Manager and Medical Director, conducts diagnostic breast\nimaging procedures utilizing various mammography equipment. Responsibilities\ninclude patient education, equipment setup, adherence to quality assurance\nprocedures, and ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality. They review\nradiology requests, coordinate exams with other services, and maintain accurate\nrecords while adhering to departmental protocols and hospital policies. Additionally,\nthey participate in equipment maintenance, supply management, and uphold\nprofessionalism and customer service standards across UCLA Health Breast\nImaging Centers. Your coverage will include all radiology facilities within the\nUCLA Health network.

Salary Range: $52.22 - $68.84\nHourly

Qualifications

  • ARRT (M) license – required
  • CRT (R) (M) Mammography license –\nrequired
  • BLS/CPR certification from American\nHeart Association or American Red Cross – required
  • At least 1 year of experience in\nBreast Imaging – required
  • At least 1 year of DEXA experience\n– preferred
  • Breast Ultrasound experience -\npreferred
  • Associate’s Degree or Higher –\npreferred
  • Ability to identify and recognize\ncontraindications for exams. (Radiology Only)
  • Ability to prioritize work,\nhandling multiple tasks to completion, within the time allotted
  • Ability to respond efficiently to\nexpressed needs of referring services, physicians and patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills\neffectively and diplomatically with patients, visitors, hospital staff,\nphysicians, and other
  • Knowledge of medical terminology,\nwith ability to distinguish between- types of procedures within the assigned\ndepartment(s) and medical diagnoses
