POSITION TITLE:ACTIVE CABINET PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Prepare bulk fiber optic cable for further assembly and splice a variety of fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare a variety of fiber optic cables for further assembly steps:

  • Read order instructions and review drawings to determine work steps.

  • Follow process instructions and quality guidelines.

  • Use small manual and power hand tools.

  • Operate splicing equipment to fasten connectors to fiber optic cable.

  • Maintain a clean working environment.

  • Accepts work direction from supervisor, lead, engineer, and co-workers.

  • Exceed and?maintain labor requirements.

  • Communicate within the group on workflow status.?

Perform miscellaneous tasks

  • Be flexible and prioritize work orders.

  • Crosstrain in all department work cells.

  • Help instruct co-workers and subcontract personnel.

  • Perform housekeeping duties.

  • Maintain safety requirements.

  • Identify worn tools and maintain tools in good working order.

  • Work overtime when required.

HOURS OF WORK:

Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift, (6 am to 6 pm) (With flexible start time)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to identify colors, and strong eye-hand coordination.

  • General assembly experience,

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of part sizes and weights

  • Extensive dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movement

  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, basic arithmetic skill.
