POSITION TITLE:ACTIVE CABINET PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Prepare bulk fiber optic cable for further assembly and splice a variety of fiber optic patch cords and panel assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare a variety of fiber optic cables for further assembly steps:

Read order instructions and review drawings to determine work steps.

Follow process instructions and quality guidelines.
-
Use small manual and power hand tools.
-
Operate splicing equipment to fasten connectors to fiber optic cable.
-
Maintain a clean working environment.
-
Accepts work direction from supervisor, lead, engineer, and co-workers.
-
Exceed and?maintain labor requirements.
-
Communicate within the group on workflow status.?
Perform miscellaneous tasks
-
Be flexible and prioritize work orders.
-
Crosstrain in all department work cells.
-
Help instruct co-workers and subcontract personnel.
-
Perform housekeeping duties.
-
Maintain safety requirements.
-
Identify worn tools and maintain tools in good working order.
-
Work overtime when required.

HOURS OF WORK:
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift, (6 am to 6 pm) (With flexible start time)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to identify colors, and strong eye-hand coordination.

General assembly experience,
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work with a wide variety of part sizes and weights
-
Extensive dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movement

Ability to read and understand written instructions, basic arithmetic skill.
