Velocity Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Manager (PE) to lead a growing engineering department supporting large-scale commercial and specialty construction projects across multiple regions.

This leadership role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive Cold-Formed Metal Framing (CFMF) experience and a proven track record managing engineering teams, technical deliverables, and construction support operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and BIM designers
  • Oversee engineering activities supporting multiple regional operations
  • Manage engineering workload, staffing, and project priorities
  • Review structural calculations, engineering packages, shop drawings, and technical deliverables
  • Support estimating teams with engineering guidance and technical solutions
  • Provide engineering support to field operations and active construction projects
  • Collaborate with prefabrication, operations, and executive leadership teams
  • Maintain awareness of evolving building codes, industry standards, and CFMF technologies
  • Drive continuous improvement and engineering excellence across the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Ability to obtain licensure in multiple states as required
  • 10+ years of Cold-Formed Metal Framing (CFMF) engineering experience
  • Previous engineering management or team leadership experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
