Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Our organization is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist to become part of our dynamic practice, which includes two full-time board-certified OB/GYNs, two nurse practitioners, and dedicated sonographers. You will work in a private office environment, backed by the extensive resources of a leading medical institution. This practice operates as a division of a community medical group. We aim to deliver high-quality care, innovative treatments, and personalized service to our community. Located in Suffolk County, Long Island, our practice is conveniently situated near Stony Brook University Hospital and other local healthcare facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead patient care by diagnosing and treating health issues.

Gather medical histories, conduct physical exams, diagnose conditions, and order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Assess results of procedures and provide both preventive and acute care.

Ensure continuity of care by creating and executing patient care plans.

Educate patients about their medical conditions, self-management strategies for acute or chronic illnesses, and customize guidance based on individual needs.

Advise and counsel patients on treatment plans, emphasizing wellness and health maintenance.

Prescribe medications as needed.

Record examination findings and progress notes in the Electronic Medical Record, and provide referral letters when necessary.

Monitor, collect, and report on patient outcomes.

Participate in shared night and weekend on-call duties with fellow physicians.

Adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Oversee the conduct and care provided by clinical office staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and technologists, as the leader of the clinical team.

Supervise the interactions and conduct of medical students, physician extenders, and nursing interns during their shadowing experiences.

Meet quality benchmarks set by Population Health, payers, the New York State Department of Health, or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Follow established evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality patient care.

Develop a patient base to generate revenue sufficient to cover salary and operational expenses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an MD or DO program.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Current New York State medical license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Experience in a group practice or collaborative setting.

Background in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Experience with advanced laparoscopic surgery in gynecology.

Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000 annually
