Drafting Responsibilities
- Properly annotate drawings using AWS D1.1 weld symbols and other standardized symbols to clearly communicate fabrication and assembly requirements.
- Generate assembly drawings, detailed shop drawings, and part drawings.
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) to accurately define all components of designed equipment.
- Review and verify design accuracy prior to release to manufacturing and installation teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, and installation teams to support turnkey project execution.
- Work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Loop, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Assist with design reviews and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, manufacturability, and installation performance.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during fabrication or installation.
Drafting Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or related manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, 3D modeling a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, mechanical assemblies, welding practices, and structural components.
