Job DescriptionSalary:

The Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech) is a vital member of the Minneola Healthcare team, responsible for providing both radiology and laboratory services in the Emergency Department during night shifts. This role requires certification as a Radiologic Technologist and includes performing X-ray and CT scans. The ER Tech will also be trained in basic laboratory procedures to support ED needs. This position ensures timely, quality care in emergent situations and plays a key role in our night shift operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and CT scans in accordance with physician orders and safety standards.
  • Conduct basic laboratory duties such as specimen collection, processing, and performing waived/moderate complexity testing after training.
  • Maintain and operate radiology and lab equipment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness.
  • Accurately document imaging and lab procedures in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support efficient, effective emergency care.
  • Respond promptly to trauma and emergency cases with a calm, team-oriented approach.
  • Participate in department meetings and required training/education.
  • Required: Work 12 holidays per year as assigned.
  • Optional: Participate in the radiology weekend call rotation based on availability.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with current Kansas licensure.
  • CT certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Experience in an emergency or hospital setting is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and exposure to clinical environments.
  • Ability to assist with patient transfers and operate imaging/lab equipment safely.
