Registered Nurse (RN) – Skilled Nursing Facility (New Mexico)

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at skilled nursing facilities across New Mexico. This is a fantastic opportunity for hardworking, compassionate nurses who are ready to take the next step in their careers and provide exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily nursing functions in compliance with company policies and state, federal, and local regulations
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents with proper documentation of care and services provided
  • Support and orient new residents and their families to the facility
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections as scheduled
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality care, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction

Clinical Skills & Competencies

  • Specialized Care: NG tube insertion, placement, irrigation; colostomy care; Foley catheter care; straight catheterization
  • Tube Feeding: Setup and monitoring of feeding pumps, intake/output calculations, dietary compliance, weight monitoring, abdominal assessments
  • Patient Care Techniques: Positioning, transfer assistance, range of motion (ROM) exercises
  • Emergency Response: Oxygen administration, suctioning, CPR, glucometer checks
  • IV Therapy: Site care, saline lock management, mixing/hanging/administering IV solutions, infusion pump operation
  • Advanced Procedures: Suctioning (tracheotomy, nasotracheal), tracheotomy care, gastrostomy care, sterile techniques
  • Lab & Infection Control: Specimen collection, isolation procedures, and infection prevention

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Mexico or compact state eligibility)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality patient care
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required

Requirements


  • Current & valid US RN license in the state of the facility location
  • BLS upon hire
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Able to handle pressure, multi-task, and prioritize
  • Previous work experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of electronic health records, preferred
  • Must be willing to work in New Mexico
