Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Cosmetic Chemist to lead daily operations in our compounding and chemical rooms. This role ensures all production follows CGMP standards while optimizing safety, quality, and efficiency. Ideal candidates have experience in cosmetics or personal care manufacturing.
Key Duties:
- Lead and train staff in compounding, sanitization, and packaging.
- Manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and production schedules.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Work with lab teams to coordinate testing and material delivery.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve flow.
- Help manage departmental budgeting and resource use.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Chemical or Material Science (or related field).
- 5+ years of management experience in cosmetics or personal care production.
- Strong knowledge of CGMP and quality practices.
- Preferred: Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience, bilingual (English/Spanish), and formulation knowledge.
