Our company is offering aPart-Time Accounting Internposition to a candidate who wants to gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced Accounting/Finance Department. The position is in Bala Cynwyd working 20-30 hours aweek,2 days inoffice with additionalhours available depending on workload and availability.

Intern Duties and Responsibilities



Journal Entries/Accounts Payable:

  • Prepare and postaccuratejournal entriesinNetSuite.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Enter bills for accounts payablein NetSuite.
  • Reconcile vendor statements for open bills compared to NetSuite.

Month-End Processes:

  • Assistin the preparation and updating of month-end schedules.
  • Support the team in closing the books, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
  • Bank Reconciliations and Daily cash reconcilement.
  • Assist with Sales Tax reconciliation and review.

Additional Duties:

  • Performadhoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Attend andparticipatein team meetings and training sessions.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

Qualifications


Education:

  • Currentlypursuing a Bachelors orMasters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software is preferredbut not a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation

Job Type:Part-Time, Temporary, Hybrid ( 2 days in office Tues through Thurs)
