Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available in Aurora, CO, supporting students in grades K-3 within a center-based classroom setting. This role is focused on serving students with moderate to severe needs and offers a manageable caseload of up to five students, currently at three. The teaching environment benefits from the assistance of two dedicated paraprofessionals to ensure effective delivery of individualized educational plans.

Key responsibilities include implementing tailored instructional strategies for students with disabilities, collaborating with paraprofessionals and staff to support student success, and maintaining compliance with all special education regulations and guidelines. The position will run through May 29, 2026, providing stability within the academic calendar.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education certification is necessary.
  • Experience working with moderate to severe special education needs preferred.
  • Ability to manage a small caseload effectively and work within a team setting.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Availability to start immediately.
