Job Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director, Innovation Platform, the Product Associate will shape how cutting-edge university research reaches the real world. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of breakthrough science, startups, and national impact, helping build the tools and frameworks that turn federally funded discoveries into ventures that matter. You'll conduct user research with universities and innovation hubs, define product requirements, oversee deployments, and create materials that make complex commercialization methodologies accessible to a growing community of researchers and entrepreneurs. Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer discovery interviews and synthesize insights to inform product strategy and positioning
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with market opportunities and customer needs
  • Conduct market research to identify customer segments, market trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Coordinate customer feedback sessions, user testing, and market validation activities
  • Track and analyze product metrics and customer engagement data
  • Develop and maintain templates, processes, and best practices for product development
  • Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable product enhancements and maintain prioritized roadmaps
  • Assist with external deployment of tools to partner institutions, including pilot coordination and onboarding
  • Collaborate internally to develop training materials and documentation that enable external stakeholders to independently use NobleReach frameworks
  • Create product descriptions, one-pagers, and positioning language for tools and methodologies
  • Manage multiple concurrent product initiatives while coordinating across technical, education, and marketing teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related role
  • Strong customer discovery and market research skills with ability to synthesize insights
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling presentations and marketing materials
  • Experience writing product requirements documents, user stories, or similar specifications
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and early-stage ventures
  • Familiarity with technology transfer, entrepreneurship support, or venture development a plus
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment; ability to exercise flexibility and good judgment in complex situations
  • Appetite for curiosity and desire to learn
  • Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to have an impact on society
