Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing TechnicianAbout the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support the build and testing of mechanical and electrical assemblies. You’ll work closely with engineers and other technicians to assemble, test, and improve hardware used in flight and prototype programs. This is a practical, team-based role where attention to detail and a willingness to learn are key.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble, test, repair, and rework mechanical and electrical components
- Support the build and testing of flight and prototype hardware
- Follow drawings, procedures, and work instructions
- Help document assembly and test steps
- Flag any issues and work with engineering and quality teams to resolve them
- Work with manufacturing and facilities teams to keep equipment running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Experience reading drawings or work instructions
- Hands-on experience using common hand and power tools
- Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or technical environment
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a shop or production setting
- Willingness to learn new tools, materials, and processes
- Ability to stay organized and manage daily tasks
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
- About 2+ years of manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office 365)
- Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- US Person (ITAR requirement)
- Willing to work occasional late days or weekends as needed
Work Environment
- Cleanroom and manufacturing environment
- Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Work on exciting hardware supporting the space and solar array industry
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goleta, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
