Title: Medical Receptionist

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting, registering, and scheduling patients, as well as managing incoming and outgoing calls and assisting with patient inquiries. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and register patients, verify insurance coverage, and enter patient information into the system
• Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain the appointment book
• Answer and route incoming calls to the appropriate departments
• Respond to patient inquiries and provide information as needed
• Obtain and update patient medical history and demographic information
• Collect and process patient payments and co-pays
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Manage the waiting room and ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients
• Scan and file patient documents, medical records, and lab results
• Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a medical office or hospital setting
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress with poise
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity

Working Conditions:
• Full-time position with no weekends or nights
• Work in a healthcare setting with exposure to patients, medical equipment, and medical settings
