Job Summary: Retail Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper Assistant and will include purchasing responsibilities to oversee procurement activities, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive prices.

Communication Skills:
Strong negotiation skills are essential for securing favorable prices and contracts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for interacting with suppliers and other stakeholders.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and resolve issues.

Organizational Skills:
Good organizational skills are needed to manage multiple purchase orders, track inventory, and maintain records.

Attention to Detail:
Detail-oriented approach is crucial for ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and records.

Location: 1109 I-65 Commerce Dr., Mobile, AL 36606
Key Responsibilities:

  • Use QuickBooks to assist Bookkeeper with daily invoicing, payables and A/R.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to establish productive, professional relationships.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Prepare purchase orders, customer invoices ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast future needs.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing, new products, and industry trends.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department for budget adherence and invoice processing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to procurement.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. and QuickBooks.
  • Ability to analyze market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
