Group Facilitation Coordinator

Location: Santa Monica, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Normal Business Hours
Compensation: $33/hr.
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

The Group Facilitation Coordinator plays a key role in supporting behavioral-health programming for partner facilities. This position ensures the smooth execution of group schedules, oversees facilitator onboarding, maintains accurate calendars and timesheets, and serves as the primary point of contact for group-related operations. This individual will also provide direct group facilitation support as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) – required
  • Strong knowledge of substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health treatment
  • Experience in behavioral health, residential/PHP/IOP settings, or group facilitation
  • Excellent organizational, scheduling, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts and deadlines
  • Professionalism when communicating with clients and staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, build, and maintain group schedules across multiple client facilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Group Facilitation clients, addressing program needs and operational updates
  • Oversee onboarding for new facilitators, including training, orientation, and documentation compliance
  • Manage the calendar system, facilitator assignments, and weekly schedules
  • Review, verify, and submit timesheets for employees and contracted facilitators
  • Provide direct group facilitation on occasion at client sites to ensure coverage and quality of service
  • Monitor, audit, and track group facilitation notes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance group programming and facilitator performance
  • Maintain strong communication and ensure seamless coordination between facilitators, clients, and internal teams
