Job DescriptionAccounting Associate
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accounting? This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of accounting and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage daily deposits, including corporate deposits, and ensure timely delivery to banks.
- Track all property deposits using Excel and QuickBooks, following up on any late or missing items.
- Process NSF checks, initiate collection processes, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage ACH collections for monthly management and asset management fees.
- Record and transfer funds for payroll, insurance premiums, and management fees using QuickBooks and Yardi.
- Wire and transfer funds for distributions and electronic payments, adhering to deadlines.
- Create and maintain wire/ACH templates and beneficiary information on banking platforms.
- Update replacement reserve schedules and prepare reserve draws monthly.
- Reconcile select corporate and payroll bank statements, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
- File monthly/quarterly Business & Occupation tax returns.
- Support properties with Yardi rent receipts and resolve support tickets.
- Perform various office duties, including mail distribution, supply ordering, and running background checks for new employees.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- College or Associate's degree required.
- At least three years of prior accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks; experience with Yardi and online banking software (especially Bank of America Cash Pro) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent customer service attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enjoys working with detail and has a proactive, can do - how can I help attitude.
Work Environment
- Modular office setting with approximately 75% of time spent on a personal computer.
- Extensive use of accounting and office software applications.

Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $58,000.00 per year
