Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class A Transfer Truck Driver to join our logistics team in Jurupa Valley. This role is primarily responsible for the efficient transportation of materials—typically to golf courses, parks, schools etc.—between transfer stations and designated landfills or processing facilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience maneuvering heavy equipment in tight spaces and a steadfast commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safe Operation: Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, specifically transfer trucks, on local routes and within facility grounds.

  • Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with FMCSA regulations.

  • Maneuvering: Navigate through high-traffic Inland Empire corridors and execute precise backing and dumping maneuvers in uneven terrain or confined landfill environments.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic or manual logs (ELDs), including weight tickets, fuel receipts, and maintenance reports.

  • Vehicle Care: Keep the tractor and trailer in clean, operable condition; report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team immediately.

  • Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, local traffic laws, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience

  • Licensing: Valid California Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

  • Driving Record: Must provide a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (no DUIs in the last 7 years; no more than 1 point/moving violation in the last 3 years).

  • Physical Ability: Must be able to sit for long periods and climb in/out of the cab frequently. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work early morning shifts and occasional Saturdays as required by volume.

  • Reliability: Strong punctual work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
