On the Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Unit, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment that serves as an excellent platform to further your experience with complex orthopedic and Med/Surg cases. Schedule/Hours:
- 140-bed unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-6 (day/evening shifts), 1:5-6 (night shift)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active, clear RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of acute care Med/Surg nursing experience
- Preferred: Orthopedic nursing background
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, Med/Surg-ortho overflow setting
- Professionalism and strong communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Care for adults and post-surgical orthopedic patients
- Perform ongoing assessments and documentation using EPIC
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
- Prioritize workload and deliver compassionate, high-quality care
- Maintain clear and accurate patient records
- Follow all safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies
- Wear any color scrubs for flexibility
