Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and collaborative Elementary Special Education Teacher for a co-teaching position in the Roslindale area for the 20252026 school year. This role involves working alongside a general education teacher to provide inclusive instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in an elementary classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the general education teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide targeted support and accommodations for students with IEPs.
- Utilize co-teaching models (parallel teaching, station teaching, etc.) to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents, support staff, and school administrators.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
- Active Massachusetts DESE Special Education Teacher license.
- Experience in a co-teaching or inclusion classroom preferred.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Contract Details:
- Start Date: August 2025
- End Date: June 2026
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
