We are seeking an experienced construction foreman that can lead a crew of general laborers on our residential construction sites. A person in this position would be required to schedule, plan, oversee and assist the other crew members. We are a general contractor that specializes in wood post frame construction from start to finish. Some of the jobs that you would oversee and assist on would be but are not limited to:
-Dig/form/pour concrete foundations
-Form and pour concrete walls
-Prep grade and pour flat work concrete
-Frame wood post frame buildings and houses (barndominiums)
-Frame stick built garages and homes
-Install metal roofing and siding (i.e. ag-panel, standing seam, board and batten)
A person in this position would need to have a good deal of prior construction experience with an understanding of workflow on job sites. Typically, we have several projects going at once, so organization is important. Planning and scheduling around weather is a day-to-day reality that would need to be coordinated with workers and materials on the different jobsites. A person in this position would also need to be able to work independently and make decisions to keep projects running smoothly.
We operate out of Huntingburg, IN and work within a 1 hour radius of there.
Typically, hours would be 7 to 5 eastern. Starting early and having to stay late happens but not often.
Compensation will be based on experience and performance. Starting around $65,000 per year plus additional bonuses for efficiently completed projects. If we see that you are proficient, pay can scale up quickly.
