Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Optician role located in Watertown, WI. The Optician will assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses to suit their needs. Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions , guiding patients in eyewear selection, measuring customers' eyes for fitting, and providing adjustments or repairs to eyeglasses. Additionally, being a small practice, willingness to assist in other areas of the clinic such as front desk and pre-testing is desired and appreciated.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Optics and Optometry
- Skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to ensure positive patient interactions
- Understanding of Eye Exams and ability to interpret optical prescriptions accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments
- Experience with optical tools and equipment is a valuable asset
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; optician certification or licensure is preferred
