Project Manager - Federal Construction (Ellsworth AFB, SD)
Full-Time | Rotational Travel Schedule | On-Site
A leading federal contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major mission-critical construction projects at Ellsworth Air Force Base. This is a high-impact role delivering complex infrastructure in support of national defense programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of large federal construction projects from award through closeout.
- Manage scope, budget, schedule, safety, and quality for multi-year, high-value efforts.
- Direct field teams, subcontractors, and project partners to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Maintain reporting, documentation, and communication required in federal contracting environments.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, design teams, and internal leadership.
- Oversee project controls, risk mitigation, and change management.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale federal construction projects valued at 50M or greater.
- Strong background delivering work for DoD or other federal agencies.
- Expert knowledge of cost control, scheduling, and contract administration, including FAR and DFARS.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site at Ellsworth AFB on a rotational schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design-build delivery.
- Background managing multi-year IDIQ, MATOC, or large program portfolios.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
