This position functions as a Medical Assistant within the internal medicine department, responsible for preparing and maintaining exam rooms, preparing charts, obtaining reports and records, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring the smooth running of the clinical office.
Responsibilities
- Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting, completing clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs and verifying medications.
- Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms.
Essential Skills
- Medical assisting
- RMA
- CCMA
- Electronic medical record experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have CCMA or RMA certification
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Prefer two years or more of Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience and knowledge working with electronic medical records.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch. The position is in internal medicine setting with 8 providers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
