Role-Solar Lead Setter
As a Solar Lead Setter, your job is simple: start conversations, qualify interest, and set appointments for our in-home/virtual solar consultations. You are the first step in our sales process and a key driver of company growth.
This is a great fit for someone who is competitive, coachable, and wants a performance-based role with upside.
Compensation
- Commission-based (1099) with bonus opportunities
- Typical earnings range: $80,000–$100,000+ annually for consistent performers
- Top performers can earn significantly more (based on lead volume and show rate)
- Weekly/monthly/yearly bonus opportunities available
What You’ll Do
- Door-to-door canvass targeted neighborhoods to find homeowners interested in solar
- Call and follow up with warm leads and interested homeowners
- Educate homeowners on the basics: how solar works, savings potential, and next steps
- Qualify prospects (homeownership, interest level, availability, roof/utility basics)
- Set appointments for our solar consultants and confirm details
- Track activity accurately in our CRM (notes, outcomes, and appointments set)
- Work closely with the sales team to improve appointment quality and show rate
What Success Looks Like (First 30–60 Days)
- Complete training and shadowing quickly
- Consistent daily activity (doors knocked / calls made)
- Reliable appointment setting with good homeowner expectations
- Strong communication and follow-through
Requirements
- Comfortable speaking with homeowners in person and by phone
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly presence
- Self-motivated and able to work independently (1099 role)
- Able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
