Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

With every shift, you’ll build your clinical expertise—caring for complex med-surg and stepdown patients, sharpening your telemetry skills, and developing adaptability as part of a high-functioning care team. Schedule/Hours:
- Self-scheduling available
- Block scheduling options
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts as assigned
- No call or standby requirement
Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a stepdown or PCU setting
- Prior completion of at least one successful travel assignment
- Experienced with a patient load of 1:4-5 in a similar size/acuity hospital
- Competent in telemetry; able to titrate set rate drips
- Must reside outside a 100-mile radius (strictly enforced)
- Comfortable pulling own labs; no phlebotomy required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to med-surg/stepdown patients (including heart failure and sickle cell)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a unit with strong charge nurse presence
- Utilize Nasal, BiPAP, and face mask RT equipment
- Wear navy scrubs in accordance with dress code
- Complete unit-specific orientation: one day of computer skills/assessment, plus two precepted shifts
