Summary

A large healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Invoice Support Specialist to assist with high‑volume, Purchase Order–related invoice processing during a post‑ERP‑implementation period. This role supports vendor payments, research, and issue resolution while ensuring compliance with internal controls and corporate AP policies. Candidates must be able to quickly adapt, manage backlog, and support ongoing stabilization of a new cloud‑based ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process PO‑related invoices accurately and efficiently using 3‑way match (invoice, PO, receiving).
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, exceptions, and payment issues.
  • Provide professional customer service to vendors and internal departments.
  • Perform vendor setup and maintenance, including TIN matching and 1099 considerations.
  • Support EDI invoice processing, credit memo handling, and invoice entry.
  • Assist with backlog reduction and current‑state workload during ERP stabilization.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with AP policies and internal controls.
  • Identify and correct invoice or payment errors, including overpayments/underpayments.
  • Utilize a cloud‑based ERP system to process transactions and support AP workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of high‑volume Accounts Payable experience.
  • Strong 3‑way match experience (invoice, PO, receiving).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).
  • Excellent research and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for vendor and cross‑department interaction.
  • Experience with vendor setup, TIN matching, and 1099 processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EDI invoice processing.
  • Experience processing credit memos.
  • Prior work with cloud‑based ERP systems (Infor preferred).
  • Healthcare or large enterprise AP experience.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote for candidates residing in North Carolina.
  • Occasional onsite visits may be required (no more than one day at a time).
  • Fast‑paced environment with a growing backlog due to recent ERP implementation.
  • Requires quick ramp‑up and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Winston Salem, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
