Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies in alignment with physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Position patients effectively and operate CT scanners while selecting appropriate technical parameters.
- Verify image quality to ensure accurate interpretation.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as prescribed, assessing for allergies and contraindications.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Adhere to strict infection control, radiation safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record and maintain comprehensive imaging records.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, addressing inquiries with empathy.
- Foster a calm and supportive environment for patients.
