This position involves supporting students by developing and implementing therapeutic interventions that enhance their educational experience and improve functional abilities in a school setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, and self-care activities.
- Designing individualized therapy goals and treatment plans aligned with educational objectives.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy into the classroom environment effectively.
- Documenting progress and preparing reports to support student success and program accountability.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing insights to support a holistic approach to student development.
- Providing travel between multiple school locations as required.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant state certification.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with children who have developmental or physical challenges.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and maintain clear communication with school staff and families.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between schools within the assigned district.
