Title: HVAC Journeyman
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM start (Dispatched from office); On-call rotation 1 week every 4-6 weeks
Salary: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience; includes uncapped commission up to 5% and a $2,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days
HVAC Journeyman Role:
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced HVAC Journeyman to install, service, and repair HVAC systems for residential and commercial properties. This role ensures that all heating and cooling systems are operating safely and correctly while delivering a superior customer experience.
HVAC Journeyman Responsibilities:
- Install HVAC equipment and systems according to company standards and local codes
- Maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC units to ensure safe operation
- Test newly installed systems for proper performance prior to leaving the job site
- Explain system features, maintenance tips, and operational instructions to customers
- Recommend additional equipment or services to customers when appropriate
- Complete all paperwork accurately including work orders and service documentation
- Maintain proper inventory of tools and parts and participate in regular checks
- Keep assigned company vehicle and equipment in clean and safe working order
- Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
HVAC Journeyman Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Service Manager.
About You:
- Possess a High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate 5+ years of HVAC experience or relevant training
- Hold EPA 608 Certification
- Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Operate hand and power tools comfortably and safely
- Hold working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems
- Work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
- Lift and move over 50 pounds frequently
