Job Description
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders received via fax, internet, or mail. This role plays a key part in ensuring order accuracy, timely communication with customers, and coordination with internal teams. Training will be provided by current Order Entry Executives.
Responsibilities

Enter data from customer-generated purchase orders, including part numbers and shipping instructions

Review and edit orders for pricing and product specifications

Communicate unit prices and shipping dates via fax or email

Calculate total costs and prepare order forms

File and organize order records by received date

Route orders to Customer Service Representatives as needed

Compile statistics and prepare reports for management
Requirements
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
1+ year of experience in an office or clerical role; 2–3 years in data entry preferred

Typing speed of at least 40 WPM

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment

Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills

Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently

Team-oriented, quick learner, and open to feedback
