Job Description

A Mental Health Therapist provides behavioral health intervention and recovery‐focused services to clients across the lifespan—from young children to older adults—in an outpatient setting. This role includes individual, family, and crisis‐related work, delivered with professionalism, compassion, and adherence to ethical standards.


Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient therapy to children, youth, adults, and families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct individual and family psychotherapeutic counseling
  • Complete routine and emergency assessments, including crisis intervention when needed
  • Offer trauma‐informed, attachment‐based, and relationship‐focused care
  • Provide services to clients who may be impacted by addiction or substance use
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and licensing requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to support client progress and agency goals
  • Comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the CHCS Employee Handbook
  • Uphold professional ethics, boundaries, and standards of care in all interactions


Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited MFT, LCSW, or CMHC program
  • Full licensure preferred (LMFT, LCSW, CMHC), though clinicians working toward licensure are welcome
  • Strong clinical skills, including trauma‐informed practice and familiarity with experiential or attachment‐based modalities
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups
  • Interest in experiential, creative, or non‐traditional therapeutic approaches is a plus
