The Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care is responsible for delivering expert nursing services to individuals with both acute and chronic wounds. This role involves thorough assessment, strategic treatment planning, and the application of advanced therapeutic techniques. Collaboration with various departments, educating patients, and ensuring confidentiality are essential components of this position, all while upholding the organization’s service standards. Candidates should possess a valid RN license and ideally have experience and certifications in wound care.

This role employs the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care. The nurse maintains professional accountability for the care provided to assigned patients and assesses the effectiveness of care delivered by other healthcare providers. Coordination of patient care with other departments is crucial, as is the protection of patient rights and confidentiality. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday through Friday

No Holidays, No Weekends

This position provides specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Key responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment planning, application of advanced therapies, and patient education aimed at promoting healing and preventing complications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (associate's degree, diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Must hold a current RN license in the state of employment and/or compact licensure, fulfilling all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in wound care is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications:
    • - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
    • - Wound care certifications are preferred but not required.
