A contract opportunity is available for an experienced RN with stepdown nursing expertise in Winston-Salem, NC, specializing in cardiac care. This role focuses on managing complex cardiac patients within a progressive care setting, providing comprehensive nursing care from acute coronary syndrome through post-procedural recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown unit patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, and arrhythmias.
• Manage post-cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab patients, including pacemaker and ICD placements.
• Utilize skills in monitoring central lines, PICC lines, CVP, and TR bands.
• Respond effectively as part of rapid response teams.
• Document and communicate patient status using EPIC electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse with active licensure; minimum two years of stepdown or cardiac telemetry experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, progressive care, and post-intervention nursing care.
• Familiarity with cardiac devices and critical care monitoring.
• Flexible with a schedule of 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7 PM7 AM) and availability to float across multiple health campuses as needed.
• Strong adherence to attendance policies; punctuality and reliability are mandatory.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
