About the Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated Railcar Repairman to join our team and help keep America’s railcars rolling. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role involving 60% mechanical work and 40% welding. You’ll work in a heavy industrial environment, repairing and maintaining railcars to meet strict safety and quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely work around railcars, tracks, and heavy equipment
- Perform mechanical repairs and welding (fluxcore preferred; MIG training available)
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, and schematics
- Weld, cut, gouge, grind, and assemble using hand and air tools
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety protocols
- Meet FRA, AAR, and customer quality standards
- Take a weld test to assess skills and training needs
What You Bring:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and welding ability
- Experience with torch cutting, grinding, and fabrication
- Familiarity with hand tools, air tools, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in tough conditions
- Manufacturing or railcar experience preferred
- Willingness to work in a dirty, outdoor industrial setting

Work Environment:
This is a heavy industrial role in a dirty, all-weather environment—from hot summers to cold winters. Candidates must be physically prepared and safety-focused.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
