Job DescriptionAbout the Role

As a Liquid Packaging Line Technician II, you will lead advanced setup, operation, and changeovers for high‑volume liquid and chemical packaging lines. You’ll diagnose issues on the fly, complete complex mechanical adjustments, uphold cGMP/ISO documentation standards, and mentor newer operators to keep production on plan and on spec.

Key Dates, Schedule & Pay

  • Start dates: 6/1/26 or 6/22/26 (ahead of an 8/1/26 go‑live)
  • Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM Central, Monday–Friday
  • Pay: $23.59/hour + $0.75/hour shift differential and bonus eligibility
  • Automatic increase: $24.24/hour effective 7/1/26
  • Location: 7405 Page Ave, St. Louis, MO
  • Hire type: Direct, Full Time, Union

What You’ll Operate

You’ll set up, run, and fine‑tune the full packaging line, including:

  • Bottle in‑feed, unscrambler, and conveyors
  • Labeler, bottle filler, bottle capper, plugger, cap torquer
  • Videojet code dater, check weigher, bar coder, case sealer
  • Associated pumps, valves, hoses, filters, and control panels

Day-to-Day Impact

  • Complete daily line setup, changeovers for varying container sizes, and routine mechanical adjustments.
  • Ensure correct hose hookups and proper operation of control systems regulating product flow.
  • Run accurate filling, weighing, capping, sealing, casing, labeling, and coding for products including powders, liquids, solids, creams, lotions, and pastes.
  • Meet scheduled production targets; capture and submit all cGMP/ISO documentation and production records by end of shift.
  • Request packaging materials and supplies proactively to prevent downtime.
  • Perform minor maintenance and support the Maintenance team as needed.
  • Palletize finished and in‑process goods and store in designated locations.
  • Operate all moving equipment with extreme caution to protect teammates and property.
  • Maintain a clean, well‑organized work area; correctly mark hazardous waste (e.g., Cal Stat washout liquid) as “Hazardous Waste”.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and follow written SOPs, safety labels, and equipment manuals
  • Basic math, writing, and data entry skills

Preferred

  • 3+ years operating liquid filling equipment, pumps, valves, and piping within cGMP environments
  • Background in chemical manufacturing
  • Experience in FDA or other regulated industries
  • Interest or experience working overnight in a union environment

Physical & Role Requirements

  • Lift, carry, and move up to ~60 lbs; stand for extended periods; climb to heights of ~10 feet
  • Strong hand–eye coordination, peripheral vision, and manual dexterity; read scales, dials, and gauges
  • Consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Collect and enter quality and inventory data (paper/electronic)
  • Work with minimal supervision; communicate and collaborate effectively

Automatic liquid filling machines, pumps, filters, scales, sealers, cappers, cap torquers, valves, hoses, Videojet coding equipment, and associated monitoring components across the entire line.
