PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifies and solicits investment and wealth management business from existing clients and potential clients through advertising campaigns, mailing lists, and referrals from bankers, centers of influence and existing clients and from personal contacts. This position includes a specific focus on high net worth individuals, institutions such as cities and towns and not for profit entities. Produces revenue from this activity to meet expectation of published annual performance goals.

Key Accountabilities

1. Model behaviors consistent with A+ Merits to foster an effective culture.

2. Generates new revenue for NHTrust by building and implementing a referral network inside and outside our banks and focused on a high net worth, institutional and not for profit clientele and prospect.

3. Meets with existing and assigned clients on a regular basis to update financial plans and respond to client needs.

Success Measures

1. Personal new asset gathering to NHTrust of $ 7.5M million of investable assets, exclusive of custody only assets and personal new revenue production at a minimum of $75,000 per year.

2. Appointment activity, including existing client, prospect and center of influence appointments at a minimum of two to three per week.

3. Fee revenue calculated using approved fee schedules as reported

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Adheres to the NHMB Values: A+ Merits - Accountability, Mutuality, Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Stewardship.

2. Accepts and conforms to the terms of the employment agreement(s) executed between the employee and NHTrust.

3. Meet with prospective clients to determine financial and insurance needs, complete formal financial plans as appropriate, recommends investment/insurance strategies and presents appropriate investment/insurance options.

4. Involves NHTrust executives as needed in the case of more complex client needs.

5. Responsible for maintaining ongoing knowledge of current market conditions, new products, services and tax law changes within the financial services industry.

6. Maintains a full working knowledge of various software packages to produce financial planning information for clients.

7. Schedules and conducts client meetings covering topics such as financial and/or investment planning, estate planning, retirement planning and education planning.

8. Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures and requirements of NHTrust wealth management and New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp in the conduct of assigned responsibilities.

9. Networks with banking partners (commercial lenders, bank presidents, etc.) to build referral sources and deepen partnership within the organization.

10. Works with senior management to develop, implement and achieve/exceed goals as set forth in the bank’s annual business plan.

11. Represents NHTrust and affiliates by participating in community affairs, clubs and organizations to assess the needs of the community, enhance the bank’s visibility and increase new business opportunities.

12. Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.

13. Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise. Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of light materials, supplies. Visual and manual dexterity to operate general office equipment. Independent ability to travel to client appointments within assigned region as needed.

DESIRED JOB EXPERIENCE

5-7 years of experience in wealth management, trust, or private banking. Including business development. A demonstrated track record of successful sales/service performance in the investment services business and specifically the high net worth or institutional markets An understanding of trust law and its application to clients is preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to motivate people and communicate effectively through excellent interpersonal skills.

Desired CERTIFICATION

Advanced investment and / or planning designations such as CTFA, CFP or the ability to obtain within 12 months
