We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist with warehouse operations for a project at our Belleville location. The role involves various responsibilities to ensure the efficient handling of merchandise and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination.
- Efficiently stage, stack, and load merchandise in designated areas.
- Move products from staging or unloading areas to the correct load door and assigned trailer.
- Ensure the trailer is secured and chocked before entering, following safety policies.
- Load and unload products correctly using appropriate handling techniques.
- Segregate, check, and stage inbound products accurately.
- Verify drivers, trailers, and bills align with the specific carrier and location.
- Count freight with the driver and ensure all requirements are met.
- Load trailers for safe transit and ensure drivers sign all required paperwork.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Organize and maintain an orderly desk/office area.
- Perform additional duties such as cleaning, organizing, and sweeping work areas.
- Pack orders, validate inventory counts, print labels, and communicate with drivers.
- Build pallets, shrink wrap them, and use a pallet jack to organize orders.
Essential Skills
- Experience in picking and packing orders based on a pick slip or customer order form.
- Proficiency in utilizing computers or RF scanners for inventory tracking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Must wear steel-toed boots or shoes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in material handling, forklift operation, and general labor.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems.

Work Environment
Work in a brand new, 628,000 sq ft, climate-controlled, well-lit, and extremely clean facility. This location has about 250 employees, including warehouse and office staff. The company is client-focused, striving to exceed customer expectations in every way. Shifts are available from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 3:30 PM - Midnight, Monday through Friday. Orientation and training occur during the first week, with all candidates attending from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
