Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / IR Technologist for a dual Cath/IR role at a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and an active or pending WA Rad Tech License.

Details

  • Dual Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) role at a 500-bed Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload covers 4 angio suites and 2 ORs
  • Procedures include neuro interventions (stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals), cardiac procedures (STEMI, PCI, diagnostic), vascular procedures (run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR), and body procedures (CVC, drains, embolizations)
  • Charting performed in Epic (preferred but not required)
  • 4x10-hour shifts with variable days of the week including weekends and variable start times; some weeks may require 8-hour shifts
  • Schedules are posted in advance on the 15th of each month
  • 4-5 on-call shifts required per month
  • Weekend availability required
  • No floating to sister facilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Cath Lab and/or IR experience required
  • At least 2 travel experiences beyond initial hospital employment preferred
  • Active ARRT certification required
  • Active WA Rad Tech License required; pending license accepted
  • License required if applicable
  • COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
  • Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

Additional Information

  • This is a dual Cath Lab and IR role requiring proficiency across neuro, cardiac, vascular, and body interventional procedures
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
  • RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum; no more than 6 days of RTO for the contract
  • Former staff of the parent health system must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Onsite parking is available for a daily fee; an offsite parking option approximately 1 mile from the facility is also available at $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service running Monday–Friday, 5 AM–10 PM (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
