We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neuropsychologist to join our team, specializing in providing neuropsychological services to individuals within the workers' compensation population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuropsychology and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals navigating the workers' compensation system.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assess the mental health, cognitive functioning, and rehabilitation needs of individuals within the workers' compensation population, especially those with TBI and brain trauma.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address neuropsychological issues, cognitive deficits, and rehabilitation goals following TBI and brain trauma.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-focused therapies, to address symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions commonly associated with TBI and brain trauma.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and vocational counselors, to coordinate care and facilitate the return-to-work process.
  • Advocate for clients within the workers' compensation system to ensure access to appropriate mental health services and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology or Neuropsychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid New Jersey State license to practice neuropsychology.
  • Experience working with individuals within the workers' compensation population preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in administering and interpreting neuropsychological tests and measures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic alliances with clients in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations.
