Medical Office Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Medi Home Care, a division of Medical Services of America Inc., is currently seeking an experienced PAP Technician for our HME patients in Irmo, SC covering Lexington and Richland counties.

What You’ll Do:

• Set-up of respiratory equipment for home care patients in office and in the home, coordinating with the CSR and site manager.
• Utilizes and maximizes time when scheduling visits; assures visits are geographically coordinated for minimum travel time.
• Maintains written documentation on each setup or routine home visit and makes sure visits are performed in a timely manner as required by company policy
• Maintains records on each patient, listing the patient’s name, address, telephone number, physician and other pertinent information.
• Notifies Intake Coordinator of supply needs.
• Maintains supplies in an orderly fashion.
• Consults with manager/physician regarding equipment application or home environment problems.
• Completes home follow-up reports accurately and with the required patient signatures obtained on all necessary paperwork.
• Able to demonstrate an effective teaching ability in training patients on how to use the equipment.
• Exhibits a positive, professional attitude in dealing with patients on how to use the equipment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Prior experience in a medical office or with medical equipment (required)
• Minimum of one year of home care experience.
• Inventory experience
• Valid driver’s license
