A respected long-term care facility in the Albany region is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical leadership and help ensure the highest standards of resident care.
\nKey Responsibilities:\n

Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in overall clinical and administrative management
\n
- \n
Conduct regular wound and skin care rounds
\n
- \n
Promote compliance with nursing standards and ensure effective communication across the nursing team
\n
- \n
Assist in planning, staffing, and coordinating nursing services
\n
- \n
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff
\n
- \n
Maintain infection control protocols and oversee daily staffing operations
\n
- \n
Respond to urgent clinical needs with a flexible and responsive approach (including on-call availability)
\n
- \n
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in resident medical records
\n
- \n
Help maintain staff education and professional development initiatives
\n
- \n
Remain current in nursing practices and regulatory requirements
\n
\n

\n
\nQualifications:\n

- \n
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
\n
- \n
Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
\n
- \n
2 years of nursing management experience preferred
\n
- \n
Experience in staff education is a plus
\n
- \n
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
\n
- \n
Flexible schedule, including availability for on-call responsibilities
\n
\n
\n
\n
