Commercial Furniture Installer & Delivery Technician with Growth Path to Project Management.
Allstate Office Interiors (AOI) is a leading commercial furniture dealer and workspace solutions provider based in Robbinsville, NJ. We deliver, install, and manage high-performance office environments for clients across the region. We are growing and seeking a Commercial Furniture Installer & Delivery Technician to join our team. This role includes a clear opportunity to grow into Project Management for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Commercial Furniture Installer & Delivery Technician, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience. You’ll be responsible for receiving, delivering, assembling, and installing commercial office furniture at customer sites.
You will also have the opportunity to support and learn project-management functions such as site coordination, job documentation, client communication, and installation planning. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and motivated to advance their career in the commercial interiors industry.
Key Responsibilities
Furniture Installation + Delivery
- Deliver and install commercial office furniture at client sites with a focus on quality and professionalism.
- Load/unload trucks safely using proper equipment (dollies, carts, blankets, straps).
- Read and interpret floor plans, installation drawings, and manufacturer instructions.
- Perform minor adjustments, leveling, and fit/finish work to ensure a polished, complete installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, damage-free job site and vehicle.
Customer Experience
- Provide a “white glove” level of service and represent AOI professionally at all times.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Obtain signatures and complete delivery/installation documentation accurately.
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and escalate when needed.
Career Growth: Project Management Track
For candidates with interest and performance consistency, responsibilities may grow to include:
- Assisting Project Managers with site walkthroughs, field measurements, and installation planning.
- Helping coordinate logistics between AOI, clients, and third-party vendors.
- Tracking job progress, documenting changes, and helping with punch-list resolution.
- Learning project budgeting, scheduling, and client-facing communication.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in commercial furniture installation, moving, carpentry, facilities, or related field (preferred but not required—will train).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 50–200 lbs with assistance or equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools.
- Comfortable with physical work: bending, walking, climbing stairs, standing for extended periods.
- Professional, positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Must be able to pass a Criminal History Background Check
- Must be able to pass Drug Testing
Preferred
- Experience driving box trucks (14'–26').
- Experience with office furniture installation, especially systems furniture.
- Ability to read plans, blueprints, or installation drawings.
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, or field service work.

Work Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required depending on project schedules.
