  • Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Worksite Location: Maplewood, MN | Hybrid – onsite 3-4 days per week
  • Compensation: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

What you’ll do as the Global Logistics Inbound Freight Analyst:

  • Identify, integrate, and validate inbound freight data sources—including ERP, TMS, carrier invoices, audit outputs, and regional accrual reports—for centralized analysis
  • Partner with finance to define freight accrual logic, GL codes, landed cost allocation rules, and ensure costs flow accurately into the P&L
  • Build and maintain a Power BI dashboard for real-time freight visibility, including spend-to-budget tracking, spend by region or carrier, cost-per-unit, and freight-to-revenue ratios
  • Translate duties, taxes, accessorials, and contract rates into real-time cost insights, reducing reliance on late invoice postings
  • Collaborate with regional logistics teams to align on tax structures, billing practices, and supplier compliance to reduce cost leakage
  • Enable exception alerts for anomalies such as overbilling, non-compliant carrier bookings, split shipments, or unexpected surcharges
  • Document pricing logic, transformation rules, and governance frameworks to ensure transparency and accuracy
  • Educate stakeholders across logistics, finance, procurement, and operations on freight visibility tools, cost drivers, and their impact on the P&L
  • Integrate inbound freight insights with broader logistics performance tools such as carrier scorecards, savings trackers, and productivity metrics

What you’ll bring to the Global Logistics Inbound Freight Analyst role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics cost management, supply chain, transportation finance, or data and analytics
  • Strong background in freight spend analysis, cost accruals, and understanding of freight flows into COGS/P&L
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and Excel, with the ability to design dashboards and financial reports
  • Proficiency in SQL, DAX, or similar for data manipulation and analysis
  • Familiarity with logistics systems such as SAP, ERP, TMS, WMS, invoicing, or audit platforms
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect freight spend to actionable cost-saving strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) a plus
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, global billing practices, and landed cost allocation frameworks is highly valued
