Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures with precision and care in a clinical setting under general supervision. This role also involves conducting general diagnostic radiology examinations and supporting radiologists during complex procedures. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of imaging technology and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain examination procedures to patients, preparing them effectively for imaging studies.
- Review clinical data and patient medical histories to ensure appropriate examinations.
- Set up and maintain procedure rooms, managing inventory of linens and supplies.
- Operate CT equipment manually to capture accurate diagnostic images, administer intravenous contrast media, and monitor patients for reactions.
- Assist radiologists in sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA techniques to minimize patient exposure.
- Manage Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure high-quality image delivery and complete Radiology Information System (RIS) indexing.
- Maintain clear communication with radiologists regarding clinical protocols and imaging studies.
- Document all procedures and observations comprehensively in medical and radiology records.
- Uphold professional standards including transparency, responsiveness, and respect for diversity.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialized CT training.
- Proficient in computerized tomography and diagnostic radiology techniques.
- Experience with intravenous contrast administration and patient monitoring.
- Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems for imaging documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to radiation protection guidelines.
