Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

An opportunity is available for a certified Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in a dynamic school setting in Lees Summit, MO. This position is a full-time contract for the 2025-2026 school year, offering a chance to positively impact a diverse student population through cross categorical classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with varying disabilities across K-12 grade levels
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and implement appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teaching License issued by the state of Missouri
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented educational environment

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Lees Summit, Missouri
  • Full-time role with 37.5 hours per week
  • School year contract from August 19, 2025, through the end of the school year
  • Weekends and holidays off
