Summary
Zepto Life Technology is currently seeking an entry-level laboratory/manufacturing technician responsible for the manufacture and assembly of cartridges tested on our diagnostic devices. The candidate will perform basic laboratory tasks and operate precision manufacturing equipment on a daily basis. This position plays a vital role in maintaining production efficiency and product quality. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to contribute to various aspects of the production process, from assembly to quality control and process improvement initiatives.
Note: Pay range is between $18.00/hour - $20.00/hour DOE.
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technicians to assemble and produce diagnostic detection cartridges.
- Support ERP inventory management and contribute to overall lab maintenance.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.
- Facilitate the transition of developed processes from small-batch production to large-scale manufacturing.
- Work cross-functionally to align teams on company-wide quality standards and implement ERP for traceability.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all work performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct complex laboratory protocols.
- Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory or industrial setting.
- Ability to perform laboratory-related tasks: good weighing, pipetting technique, etc.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in operation and maintenance of precision equipment
- Experience in using ERP system for inventory management
- Cleanroom/clean environment experience

- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Attention to detail in conducting quality inspections and documenting data.
- Analytical skills to identify root causes and develop solutions for process improvements.

Work Environment
- This role operates in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) lab, and strict adherence to safety protocols is required. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Job Type
- Part-time/Full-time, non-exempt position. Standard work schedule: MondayFriday, onsite. Occasional travel may be required.
